Technical Specifications for Supplying Artwork Electronically.
This information is intended to assist you in supplying suitable artwork. Please refer to this before sending your origination as this will avoid the need for any re-artworking and save you time and additional expense.

Platforms
We are Apple Macintosh based studio, so Mac files and disks are preferred, but we can usually work from PC disks, as long as the files are not compressed as “.exe” files.
Formats
We can accept files in the following formats:
Quark Xpress (up to v7)
Adobe Illustrator (EPS Preferred)
Adobe InDesign (up to CS2)
Adobe Photoshop (upto CS2)
Press ready PDF Files
Please note that artwork provided in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or Publisher will require re-working and will incur a fee.
Media
We can accept artwork on the following media:
CD Rom (Mac or PC, but not in UDF format)
Email (info@kdp-promotions.com)
Images
Please be sure to include your images, if using a program (like Quark) which doesn’t embed them in the file.
Images should be provided as either EPS, TIFF or Jpeg files. it should be noted, that by their nature, Jpegs do result in reduced quality.
The colour mode of the the file should reflect that used in the finished job, i.e. photographs for a four colour print job should be saved as CMYK images, not RGB, and spot colours in their respective pantone colours.
Colour and Greyscale images should be provided at 300dpi actual size. Lineart images should be supplied at at least 800dpi.
Fonts
Where possible, we recommend either embedding the fonts, or converting them to outlines. Otherwise, please supply the fonts used along with the files. As we are a Mac based studio, Mac fonts only please.
Proofs
Hard copy colour proofs should be supplied with all electronically transmitted artwork. Please send to:
