Your 2020 Christmas Guide from Thomas Ridley Foodservice is here.
We know this festive season may be a little different to other years and it is an apprehensive time for all, however the festive period offers a great opportunity to create the best experience as possible.
Keep your offering traditional as well as fun. Your guests need to have that festive sparkle they adore and enjoy each year. Comfort food provides anchor points within uncertain times such as Turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas Pudding, but don't forget to mix up your menu with a festive vegan burger or a pizza with tasty Christmas for toppings. Tiny tweaks can bring an overall seasonal experience to the consumer and encourages the magic of Christmas.
It is important to cover the whole day to increase revenue. Instead of party buffets taking place, small light bites and canapés would be suitable items for an afternoon tea selection whether that is for eating in or as a takeaway.
Frozen food has seen an increase of +28% YOY in the UK during lockdown (Kantar, May 2020). We have a wide range of frozen items for all establishments, helping to reduce waste and time. Frozen pre-portioned/single portion finished offerings are great for kitchens with reduced staff or staff in specialist roles furloughed.
Take the stress out of the festive season, we have the solutions to make Christmas this year easier and more profitable for all kitchens and foodservice businesses.
