We know Foodservice has been hit hard in these challenging times, but we will bounce back from this. Our number one priority is to support our customers who are looking to reopen in the future and how Thomas Ridley Foodservice can support you.
As you adapt your business, we want to reassure you that our teams are working to government guidelines, our telesales team are ready to take your calls, our sales managers are at the end of the phone and emails, and our delivery drivers are on the roads; we are here to help you get back up and running.
Thomas Ridley have taken a number of measures to ensure the health and safety of both our staff and our customers, implementing strict procedures to all staff entering our buildings, this includes morning temperature checks, regular cleaning routines and hand sanitising stations throughout. Signage on all doors outlines the company policy, explaining in full detail instructions to external delivery drivers as well as the process regarding temperature checking and hand washing/sanitising stations.
All operational staff including drivers have been given alcohol hand gel and suitable protective clothing to protect themselves and our customers in the transition of goods. Comfort breaks and working shifts have been split throughout the day to reduce the amount of staff in the same area at any one time to help maintain a 2 metre distance in the workplace.
Throughout the business, staff are only allowed to enter the building that they currently work in and are prohibited to visit other offices/warehouses on site if not their daily workplace. Risk assessments have taken place across all sites of Thomas Ridley with the results shared with all staff to ensure we are all staying COVID- 19 Secure in 2020.
Our Click & Collect service is set up to adhere to government guidelines and all contact is 2 metres apart. Once the customer has given their order number to a member of staff, they are asked to sit back in their vehicle and their order is placed into their boot by our team.
Customers that are back up and running, can request a non-contact delivery by our delivery drivers, where your order can be left outside the building to reduce contact for all. This is by arrangement only, please do speak to your sales manager to put this in place for you. In order to protect our delivery drivers, we would ask customers to have plans in place to minimise contact with delivery drivers and assist with hygiene measures.
Thomas Ridley Foodservices and its directors have endeavoured to keep all its staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have put measures into place from an early stage of the virus spread including providing PPE, introducing social distancing and separating offices, protecting both those at risk within the workforce and all other members of staff.
If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone at Thomas Ridley about returning back to work in as a Foodservice customer, please email [email protected].
