Each year we conduct a reader survey to find out how the content of the magazine is being received, and to gauge its effectiveness in terms of how it influences caterers’ business operations and purchasing. With a readership of over 100,000 professional chefs, caterers and business owners across the whole of the UK and Ireland, canvassing the opinions of our customers is vitally important in helping us to ensure that Stir it up remains the industry leading publication it is currently as well as to plan future features and articles.
In 2018, no doubt following on from Sir David Attenborough’s ground-breaking Blue Planet series, our customers told us that environmental issues had leapt to the top of their agendas, and asked for tips and advice on how they could implement changes in their businesses in a bid to be more sustainable and ethical. In response, in January this year, we launched our new Green Gauge column in Stir It Up, which is dedicated specifically to addressing green issues.
