For starters...

This issue of Stir it up is all about making sure you are ‘streets ahead’ of your competition.

Many of the cuisine trends we are seeing filter on mainstream menus originated on the streets of global food markets.

Keeping up to speed with the latest innovations can be extremely challenging for busy caterers, so consider this month’s magazine (and accompanying Promotions brochure) your one-stop-shop for all things street food related.

Our Category Focus (pages 17-19) takes an in depth look at the cuisines and styles currently taking the food world by storm, with a look at some of the products and tips available to help you achieve them.

For recipe inspiration, head to our Melting Pot feature (page 34) for some great ideas from some of the country’s leading chefs. Country Range development chef Paul Dickson provides further inspiration on page 21, whilst our Five Ways to Use page features some great dishes using our award-winning Country Range Jamaican Jerk Seasoning.

We’re also thrilled to put not one but two formidable ladies in the spotlight this issue. Prue Leith, school food champion and presenter of Great British Bake Off, sets out her vision for schools meals, whilst the matriarch of arguably America’s most famous family, Kris Jenner, shares one of her favourite recipes.

Keep creating a stir!
