The Ridley Godfrey Foundation

Donating £50,000 a year to a wide range of charitable causes, The Ridley Godfrey Foundation is an independent charity created by Thomas Ridley Foodservice. Helping to improve people’s lives is the charity’s core objective and the size of donations can vary from £100 to several thousands of pounds, depending on the specific needs of the project or initiative. The charity is run by Hugh, Nicola, Justin and Jennifer Godfrey, members of the original Ridley family.
Recent projects to benefit from the foundation have included £2,000 to fund new uniforms for nurses at St Nicholas Hospice, the local hospice to Thomas Ridley’s site in Bury St Edmunds, £10,000 to the DEC Ukraine Appeal, sponsoring Christmas hampers through Gatehouse, a Bury-St-Edmunds-based foodbank charity, and a £13,000 donation to Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS), to purchase an advanced ZOLL pre-hospital emergency medicine monitoring device.
