Spring menu ideas

The Easter holidays are almost upon us, the first Bank Holidays of the year and a hint of spring in the air means a welcome boost for the hospitality industry. This can be a great time to freshen up your drinks offering, here are some of our top picks!

Fresh, fruity soft drinks

Pomegranate and elderflower, sparkling rhubarb and apple and sparkling pink lady apple juice. Served on their own or as a mixer, you can have a lot of fun with these drinks on your menus and we love these fresh, fruity flavours from Firefly, Folkingtons and Belvoir.

New wine listings

We’re pleased to have some new, affordable wines at Thomas Ridley. Why not try this zesty New Zealand Sauvignon blanc from Honu? Bursting with passionfruit, lime and gooseberry flavours.

In the red wine department, we really like this new rich and elegant Merlot from Chile, with great cherry, plum and chocolate notes.

Both of these new wines would work well with spring dining.

Fish Friday!

In keeping with the Christian tradition on Good Friday to eat fish instead of any meat, is fish featuring on your menus? Here are some easy, reliable go-tos. Frozen Salmon portions, battered haddock fillets, panko-coated squid rings and our fantastic Caterfood range of scampi

And, when it comes to pairing your fish dishes with the perfect potato, why not try our fantastic range of Caterfood chips or these British roast potatoes and hasselback potatoes, both from Bannisters.

Looking for some lighter desserts for your spring menus?

When it comes to cakes and desserts, carrot cake, bread and butter pudding and a gluten free caramel apple pie all fit the bill when it comes to spring treats! These all come frozen and offer you and your customers magnificent quality desserts.
